With all the excitement building towards the Singapore Rugby 7s, CIS has had its fair share of the hype!

On Tuesday afternoon, we were lucky enough to witness the New Zealand 7s team train in our gym with autograph hunters at the ready for a famous 'selfie' with their chosen players. The fans were in awe of the skill level displayed even though many of the activities the team practised were similar PE games that our teachers use here at CIS!

Following on from the New Zealand (Kiwi) teams visit, Ms Padilla organised Rob Vickerman (former England rugby captain turned TV presenter) to come and talk to our rugby academy members as well as a number of lucky secondary school students. His talk was inspirational as he related playing sports to being successful in academic studies and in life. You could have heard a pin drop in the theatre! We presented Rob with a CIS rugby jersey which he was wearing proudly when he left the Atrium.

We would like to wish all the international rugby teams who are in Singapore good luck for this weekend’s competition - my money is secretly on the kiwis. Go 7’s!
